Thomas O'Dwyer, Director

Thomas O'Dwyer is the senior director of GlobalSource, responsible for global operations and oversight of the company's risk reporting division. A former RAF aircrew and intelligence officer, he later became a respected international journalist, with over 20 years' Middle East experience with Reuters and other foreign and regional media in Cyprus, the Gulf (Bahrain, Kuwait and Dubai), Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Israel. Mr. O'Dwyer has covered some of the most violent conflicts in the Middle East, including the Cyprus conflict, the maritime Tanker War between Iran and Iraq during the 1980s, the Gulf War, and the Palestinian uprising of 2000. For several years he was a contributor to The Annual Register of World Events, Debrett's World of Travel, and the Encyclopedia Britannica Yearbook. The book Violence and Terrorism 99/00 (McGraw-Hill) featured his analysis of Hezbollah's leadership.
